The Architectural Review Board met last Thursday night to review three applications from town businesses and a fourth from prospective property owner Charles Smoot Jr.
June Jordan, representing Joyce Kramer’s Packing Shed Comer at the intersection of Gay and Porter Streets, received approval for three routine signs. Acting chair, Donna Kevis, and Jay Monroe, architect, disqualified themselves when Charles and Carroll Kevis presented a request to modify their Main Street residence. The couple intends to enlarge the kitchen, relocate several windows, and close in an upper and lower porch for bathrooms. The ARB approved the plans in concept, pending receipt of window dimensions and color scheme.
