In its meeting last week, the Washington Town Council continued its efforts to organize and establish policies for the new term.
Council member Charlie Tompkins, chairman of the Wastewater Study Committee, read a prepared statement into the record, noting that his committee “unanimously endorsed Resource International’s feasibility study.” The company recommended a sewage disposal system utilizing a recirculating sand filter with subsurface drainfields and a combination gravity/pump-operated system for collection.
