PUBLIC NOTICE ISSUANCE OF A VIRGINIA POLLUTION ABATEMENT PERMIT (VPA) AND STATE CERTIFICATION UNDER THE STATE WATER CONTROL

The State Water Control Board has under consideration issuance of the following Permit and State Cerificate:
Permit No : VPA00011 Name ot Permittee: Amdo Rodeo Corporation Facility Name Bardo Brewing Facility Location-State Route 611, T* mile south of its intersection with State Route 211, Rappahannock County

The proposed issuance regulates land application of industrial wastewater from a micro brewery. 76,800 gallons of wastewater will be land applied annually by the Amdo Rodeo Corporation on 3 acres of land located at the site listed above 12 acres of land will be available at the same location for reserve application. Wastewater application will be made at standard agronomic rates This proposed reissuance is tentative.
On the basis of preliminary review and application of lawful standards and regulations, the Department of Environmental Quality, Northern Virginia Regional Office, proposes to issue the Virginia Pollution Abatement Permit subject to certain conditions.
The proposed issuance consists of establishing limits and monitoring for the following parameters
Wastewater to be land applied: Limits for irrigation rate (0 25 inches/ hour, 10 inches/ day. 2 inches/ week) and plant available nitrogen (60 Ibs/acre/year). Monitoring for flow to storage, volume in storaoe. volume to application site, total phosphorus, sodium, magnesium, calcium carbonate, total potassium, TKN, nitrate, sulfate, chloride, total iodine, total copper, total lead, total zinc, total nickel, and total cadmium. Soils: Monitoring tor organic nitrogen, total nitrogen, soil organic matter, available phosphorus. pH, hydraulic conductivity, cation exchange capacity, metals, particle size, exchangeable cations (Na, Ca, Mg, K), total iodine, chloride, sulfate, total copper, total lead, total zinc, total nickel, and total cadmium.
Persons may comment in writing to the Department of Environmental Quality. Northern Virginia Regional Office, on the proposed issuance of the permit within thirty (30) days from the date of the first notice. Comments shall include the name, address, and telephone number of the writer, and shall contain a complete, concise statement of the factual basis for the comments. Only those comments received within this period will be considered The Director of the Department of Environmental Quality may decide to hold a public hearing if public response is significant. Requests for public hearings shall state the reason why a hearing is requested, the nature of the issues proposed to be raised in the public hearing and a brief explanation of how the requesters interests would be directly and adversely affected by the proposed permit action
