Miriam Barnett Reeve, 79, of Culpeper died Thursday, Aug. 13 at her residence.
Mrs. Reeve was bom Dec. 23, 1918 in Downing, Ala. to the late Rufus Barnett and Maggie Pearl Ellis Barnett.
Mrs. Reeve was retired from Shenandoah National Park in Luray after 26 years of service. She was a member of Culpeper Baptist Church and a former member, deacon and treasurer of Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church. Mrs. Reeve was a volunteer for the Culpeper Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and a member of both the Rappahannock and Culpeper Garden Clubs.
Mrs. Reeve is survived by two daughters, Patricia R. Brown of Hanover, Pa., and Dorothy R. Irvine of Madison; one son Roy B. Reeve of Bellefonte, Pa.; two brothers Rufus Barnett of Ozark, Ala., and William Fullerton of Reform, Ala. and a sister Rosemond Crowder of Montgomery, Ala.
She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Reeve was predeceased by her husband Roy L. Reeve; a daughter Lillian D. Reeve and a brother James Fullerton.
