Miss Carol A. Williams of Washington, announces her retirement as a member of the Rappahannock County School System as of June 5, 1968. She has been a teacher for 41 years, having taught at Washington, Scrabble, and Sperryville. The Vacation Bible School sponsored jointly by the Baptist. Methodist and Episcopal churches closed a successful eight day session with a picnic and awarding of certificates Friday on the Baptist Church grounds attended by pupils, teachers, helpers, and parents.

David Lyne received his bachelor of arts degree with a major in English from the University of Virginia. Charlottesville, at commencement Saturday. He attended Rappahannock County Schools and Wood berry Forest. He served four years with the U.S. Navy before completing his formal education at the University of Virginia. Mayor Walter B. Kilby has been appointed a department head at DeWitt Army Hospital, Fort Belvoir. He has been named Chief of Pediatrics and is in charge of the Pediatrics Department.
