“If they play the way I know they’re capable of playing we will see a good season,” Stanley said. “I just need to teach them to play defense.”
The varsity has their first game Sept. 8 away against Clarke. “We scrimmaged them last year and played pretty even,” Stanley said. “I don’t want to say what the outcome will be but it will depend on how we progress.”
JV coach Rhonda Jenkins said although she has a “very young team” they are hard workers. “I think once they learn to play together, get some experience, they’ll be fine,” she said.
