Bartlett encouraged his audience to take risks necessary to challenge the status quo. Among the suggestions he offered educators were the importance of setting weekly goals, learning to be assertive when dealing with conflict, identifying and appreciating leadership styles, prioritizing tasks, pursuing personal goals, and learning to listen with their eyes, ears and heart.
RCHS National Honor Society students were on hand to help prepare food for lunch and answer phones so staff could attend the seminar. The event was sponsored by the School Council, composed of county educators and community members, who have worked throughout the summer to begin implementing a proposal developed under the auspices of the Greve Foundation whose grant helped fund the day.
