guage teacher at RCES, Keller is originally from Richmond and a graduate of JMU. She is presently in the second year of a master’s program in speech pathology. “I’m very excited to be here,” she said. “I have friends who live here and so am somewhat familiar with the area already.”
Lynn Fournier, of Stafford, has been hired as the new band teacher for the school system. Fournier has a wealth of experience to offer band students here. She was a member of “Pershing’s Own,” the U.S. Army Band, for 20 years. She was a band director in North Olmsted, Ohio and a flute choir director in Fauquier County.
Florence Goff, of Rappahannock, has always wanted to work for a school system. She worked as a secretary for her husband and son who are lawyers in Luray. She will replace Jenkins as special education secretary at the school board office.
Danette Opseth, who was a parent-teacher volunteer last year, will be the new office aide at RCES. Opseth has two children in the school system here.
