It’s almost that time — time for school to start. It’s also time for fall sports to begin and the teams from Rappahannock County High School have been busy this month practicing.
The Cross County Team will meet its first challenge on Sept. 2 at home against Page County. Coach Dave van de Graff was out of town this week and unavailable for comment but Reed Gillespie, assistant coach said the teams are shaping up Well.
“We started team practices a week ago and about 10 runners showed up but this week we’ve had more. We’ll probably end up with about 40 on the team,” he said. “We’ll get out first realistic look the first week of school.” Coach Christy Sander will also be back to help.
