reproductive biology, Massie’s Rose Hill offers a full range of services for both large and small animals, including exotics like llamas, ostriches and reptiles. At the present time, cattle make up about 65 percent of his case load, but Massie is interested in and willing to care for any kind of animal. “In an age of specialization,’’ he noted, “that’s an unusual thing. I enjoy the diversity ... I like to have things change. I pride myself on trying to stay current, even on small animals.”
Massie also recognizes that the modern animal owner appreciates education and advisory services that go beyond traditional maintenance and emergency care. He frequently assists owners in designing housing and other facilities for optimum efficiency and health of their animals, as well as providing advice concerning sales and marketing.
