Celebrated jazz guitars Jack Wilkins of New York and Jimmy Bruno of Philadelphia team up to play at The Theatre at Washington, Va. on Saturday, Nov. 14. Randall Kremer, of the Smithsonian Institution, will introduce the program. The concert, which begins at 8 p.m., is another in the highly popular series of jazz programs which have brought such performers as Charlie Byrd and Bucky Pizzarelli to The Theatre in recent years.
Jack Wilkins and Jimmy Bruno are two of the preeminent guitarists on the jazz scene today. They were honored at the Smithsonian Institution this past year with a performance in conjunction with the Blue Guitars Exhibition. They have also performed as a duo at the JVC Jazz Festival in New York and as part of the Benedetto Players concert series. Both are sought-after performers.
