Tfen Rappahannock County teachers were happily surprised on Friday, Oct. 23 when they were awarded grant money from Headwaters, the Rappahannock County Public Education Foundation. Awards were presented during the teachers’Fall Inservice Meeting at the Northern Virginia 4-H Educational Center in Front Royal. Headwaters Grant Committee members Rev. Phillip Bailey and Cindy Wayland made the presentations, which totaled over $3,000.
The grant money will help the teachers provide innovative programs for their students, programs that are not funded by the school budget.
At Rappahannock County Elementary School, the youngest students to benefit from the grants will be Patricia Hottinger’s Special Education
