Rev. Aubrey Jackson of Woodbridge died Nov. 3 at Potomac Hospital in Woodbridge.
He was bom Jan. 27, 1941 at Double Toll Gate, the son of the late Hedrick and Ethel Jackson of Front Royal.
He was married to Gloria Faye Jett Jackson.
Rev. Jackson’s affiliations included: Pastor of Little Forest Baptist Church in Stafford for 22 years; member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Flint Hill; Son in the Ministry of Macedonia Baptist Church in Flint Hill, member of the Usher Board of Macedonia Baptist; member of the Northern Virginia Baptist Minister’s Conference and member of the Stafford County’s NAACP.
Rev. Jackson was also a member of the Board of Directors for the Fredericksburg Area- Sickle Cell Association; chaplain for the Prince William County Department, member of the St. Luke Lodge #312, Front Royal; member of the American Legion Post, Front Royal and member of the Inter Commerce Ministers Association.
Rev. Jackson also served a tour of duty for the Vietnam War, U.S. Army and was a member of the International Police Chaplains.
Survivors include a sisterin-law Brenda Jett Lewis of Manassas; a brother-in-law, Herman E. Lewis of Manassas and two aunts Mrs. Etta Folks of Georgia and Mrs. Ida Russell of Front Royal.
Funeral services were held on Nov. 7 at Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. Howard Frye officiating. Burial was in Macedonia Odd Fellows Cemetery.
