Benefit dinner scheduled

A ham and turkey dinner sponsored by the Amissville Fire and Rescue Squad will be served Saturday, Nov. 14 at the fire hall. Hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Dinner will include vegetables, applesauce, bread and dessert as well as coffee, tea and milk. *

Estate planning seminar set

An estate planning seminar conducted by Attorney William Truban Jr. of Owen & Truban, PLC in Winchester and sponsored by Rappahannock Farmers Association will be held on Thursday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. The seminar will be held at the Rappahannock County Elementary School Library. RSL fall banquet, raffle scheduled

The Rappahannock Soccer League will host its annual fall banquet at RCES on Nov. 21 beginning at 6 p.m. All families that participated in this season’s games are invited to sign up through the team parent or coach.

A fundraising raffle is underway to raise money for equipment, league expenses, trophies and new uniforms. All community members are welcome to choose and take a chance at three donated prizes that include brunch for two at Four and Twenty Blackbirds, a Princess Diana Beanie Baby and brunch/supper for two at The Bleu Rock Inn. The cost of each ticket is $1. Winners will be announced at the banquet and you do not have to be present to win. Both RCES and RCHS have ticket coordinators organizing sales, as well as many “soccer parents” in the community. Anyone wanting further information can call Carol Lucking at 987-7204.

Christmas breakfast planned

The Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad Auxiliary is sponsoring an “All American Christmas Breakfast,” on Saturday, Dec. 12 at the Rappahannock Elementary School. Breakfast will be served from 7 to 11 a m. Santa will be visiting between 9 and 11 a.m. Enjoy the company of your friends and relatives, and enjoy a delicious meal prepared by Pat Jenkins and Company. The meal will consist of sausage gravy, eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausage, baked apples, pancakes, coffee and juice. Adult breakfast will be $5 and $3 for children six years and under. Support group plans meeting

The BlueRidge Brain Injury Support Group will meet Saturday, Nov. 14 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church Parish Hall in Washington. For directions, information, transportation or support call Pat Salmon at 675-3137.

RAA Board to meet

There will be a board meeting of the Rappahannock Athletic Association at the Washington Baptist Church on Friday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. All coaches are welcome.

Dance at Amissville

The Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company will sponsor a dance on Nov. 21. Music will be by River Bottom. Proper dress is required, no shorts, no holes in jeans and all shirts must have collars. No smoking will be allowed.

Band boosters to meet

The Rappahannock Band Boosters will meet Thursday, Nov. 19 at 7:30 p.m. at the high school. The public is invited.

Play group at Trinity
