Dessie May Lucas, 67, of Rixeyville died Monday, Nov. 2 at her residence.
Mrs. Lucas was born June 20, 1931 in Rixeyville. She was raised by the late Lena and Haywood Coppage, formerly of Rappahannock.
Mrs. Lucas is survived by one daughter Elizabeth “Gay” Lucas of Rixeyville.
She was predeceased by her husband Clarence “Jack” Alton Lucas.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 5 at Found and Sons Chapel with the Rev. John K. Burke officiating. Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery.
Giles Williams
Army veteran
Giles Dalton Williams, 66, of Front Royal died Monday, Nov. 2 at his residence.
Mr. Williams was born March 6, 1932 in Rappahannock County, the son of the late Dalton Luther and Mary Bertie Willis Williams.
Funeral services were held at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home on Thursday, Nov. 5 with the Rev. Ralph Seal officiating. Interment followed at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Front Royal.
Mr. Williams was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #4265, member of the Moose Lodge #829 and the V.F.W. Post #1860. He served in the Army during the World War II and the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by two daughters Vickie Whittington of Front Royal and Paul Washboume of Luray; two sisters Beulah B. North and Mary Lou Williams, both of Front Royal and three grandchildren.
