PUBLIC HEARING: AMENDMENTS TO THE ZONING CHAPTER

OF THE RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY CODE

The Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County shall hold a public hearing on the following proposed amendments to the Zoning Chapter of the Rappahannock County Code on Monday, December 7, 1998, at 7:00 p.m. at the Courthouse in Washington, VA.

The proposed amendments are to Subsections 170-62 G. (1) In Additional Standard (1):

1. Change "two hundred (200)" in the fifth sentence to read "fifty (50)" and then change the period at the end of the sentence to a semicolon and add "except that upon affirmative finding of a majority of a quorum of the BZA that unusual conditions exist, peculiar to the property, rendering it impractical to do so, in which case they are empowered to authorize a location of up to two hundred (200) feet from the main residence."

2. Rewrite Additional Standard (3) to read:

Occupancy shall be limited to not more than three persons.

3. Add a new Additional Standard (4) to read:

There shall be no more than one (1) Family Apartment per separate parcel of land.

The Rappahannock County Planning Commission shall hold a public hearing to consider these amendments at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18, 1998 at the Courthouse in Washington, VA.
