Hilda Burke Metzger, 71, of Lorton died Friday, Dec. 11 at her residence.
Mrs. Metzger was a member of the Cranford United Methodist Church in Lorton and was a cafeteria manager for Fairfax County Schools.
She was born in Sperryville, a daughter of Charles and Mary Ellen Burke.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years John Metzger; a daughter Wanda E. Osborn; two sons, John Wayne Metzger and Elmer Metzger; six grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
Other survivors include one sister Pauline Suk and three brothers Cletus Burke, Ashton Burke and Jennings Burke.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday at Cranford Methodist Church with the Rev. Clive Bier and Rev. William McMahan. Burial was in Cranford Cemetery.
Arrangements were by Mountcastle Funeral Home in Woodbridge.
