A loss to Page last week did not dim the enthusiasm of the girl’s varsity volleyball team when they traveled to George Mason on Saturday for the district tournament.
The lady Panthers came back with the district trophy after beating all the teams at the tournament and winning the championship game.
“All the teams in the district looked pretty strong,” said coach Laura Conklin. “We won the championship against Manassas Park not Brentsville. Manassas Park is stronger this year than they were last year.”
The varsity’s 'first game was against George Mason which they won — 15/6, 12/15 and 15/9. They then played Manassas Park and won — 15/12, 6/15 and 15/7.
