has been named Christmas Seal Chairman for Rappahannock County by George L. Craig Jr., president of the Virginia Lung Association, Northern Region. Frank Huff, captain of the Flint Hill Rescue Squad, was named outstanding rescue squadsman of 1973 and received a trophy given by the Rappahannock County Fire Association. Mr. Huff has been active in rescue work for more than 20 years and refers to himself as “the last of the over-the-hill gang.”

Thursday, Dec. 15, 1988 Alex Smith, Kerry Nuti and John Neel won first places in their respective divisions at Wakefield’s annual science fair held at the school on Dec. 1 and 2. Smith is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Smith of Persimmon Hill, Huntly. Nuti is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nuti of Ft. Madison, Iowa. Neel is the son of Mrs. Faith Neel of Falls Church.
