“When we lost to Page it was because we played defensively. If we play a defensive game we don’t do well at all. The key for us this year is to stay on the attack,” Conklin said.
Lauren Sharp, Alice Gentry and Meghan Fairbrother were nominated to the tournament team. Gentry was named player of the tournament.
“We’ve really gotten a strong start to our season,” said Conklin. “We had to make some adjustments but we did and things have worked well and that’s really good!”
The girls play Dec. 16 at Clarke, Dec. 17 at Luray and Dec. 21 at Strasburg.
