A GREATER
REALITY
We all can he forgiven if we are so steeped in our lives that we may fear leaving this reality for one that is unknown after death. Yet. we should consider for a moment that passing from this world may well bring with it the opportunity for greater understanding of our true spirit and its relation to God. As we are presently constituted, our physical bodies and earthly responsibilities largely stand to block our way to gaining this understanding. Once we are able to shed both, true enlightenment may be our reward. In the words of Sir Rabindranath Tagore: "Death: where the changing mist of doubts will vanish with a breath, and the mountain peaks of eternal truth will appear."
When we stop to consider it, much is unknown in this life. Yet, how often we seek to have certainty, as if we could stop the world’s swift pace and remake life as we would have it! Sometimes allowing life's meanings to unfold as they will can bring relief to our fears about the unknown to come.
