In other business, the board approved the request of William H. Webster, former director of the FBI and the CLA, to build a house on Hunter's Road near Rush River. He originally intended to build a "guest house," but later sought approval for a second dwelling. The board approved the request on the stipulation that the distance to the existing house is 75 feet or less. Webster, a former federal judge who was credited with restoring the FBI after the Watergate scandal, owns some 76 acres at this address.
