Ellis and Mabel Glasker of Gid Brown Hollow were honored with a 52nd Wedding Anniversary celebration on Saturday, Dec. 27 at the Washington Volunteer Fire hall. The event was hosted and emceed by their son Bobby, with approximately 70 people turning out for the affair.
Decorations and food were set up and prepared by Bobby Glasker and Jackie Porter. Deacon Carter and Clara Lucas manned the food tables, while Jackie Porter attended the punch bowl which contained her “secret ingredient.”
The couple was married Sept. 8 in Culpeper by Rev. John J. Jackson. Mrs. Glasker was a daughter of the late Reuben and Frances Hughes
