The varsity girls’ basketball team played its best first half of basketball so far this year against the Luray Bulldogs in the semifinal round of the recent Page Classic.
Unfortunately it was not enough for the Panthers as the team lost its seventh straight game of the season by a 43-28 score.
The Panthers fell behind 132 to begin the game but, behind three second period points each from Brittany Thornhill and Courtney Hutcheson, the team outscored Luray 11-4 to creep to within 17-13 at the half.
