“I am not opposed to regulating lighting," Konick told the supervisors Monday. “That is not, unfortunately, the only issue before you."
Konick wrote the Planning Commission on May 16 that the ordinance will violate the Dillon Rule “that precludes Rappahannock County from adopting such an ordinance because there is no provision of the Code of Virginia specifically authorizing such a local ordinance.”
Konick’s objections have been widely circulated to the board and the commission, and published in the July 29 edition of the Rappahannock News.
