The neighboring log cabin accommodates two guests in a single bedroom, with its own kitchen and a front porch sized right for sitting and sipping wine. The hills behind the houses are laced with walking and riding trails, and the quiet is profound.
Hartman hopes to establish his vineyard over time, and he clearly is imbued with the spirit of adventure that wine growing and making demand, but for him, the desire for adventure does not end there. He has his sights set on other places, other things, more in keeping with the piratical mind set. He sits on his porch looking out at the vineyard. He says, “Costa Rica is the place. Now there's where I'd like to be.”
