Headwaters to meet
The monthly board of directors’ meeting for Headwaters, the Rappahannock County Public Education Foundation, will take place Monday, Aug. 9 at 7 p.m. at the Rappahannock County extension office. The meeting is open to the public.
Friends gathering
Friends of Billielee Ballard will gather at the Old Way Art Gallery in Sperryville at 7 p.m., Monday, Aug. 9. Anyone wanting to see Billielee, who grew up in Rappahannock and graduated from Rappahannock High School in 1992, is invited. She is visiting from Portland, Oregon for three days. Weekend of music
The Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department invites everyone to a lawn party weekend with entertainment on Saturday, Aug. 14 and Sunday, Aug. 15. Bluegrass music by Frank Riley & Friends is on the program for Aug. 14 from 59 p.m. On Aug. 15, Southern Gospel music will be performed by The Kings Travelers from 1 - 5 p.m. There will be food, beverages and fire-fighting demonstrations.
