Civil War group to meet
National Park Service historian Greg Mertz will be the guest speaker on Tuesday, Aug. 17 at the Blue Ridge Civil War Roundtable. The meeting is open to the public. Mertz’s talk will be an overview of the Battle of Gettysburg and the significance of the battle to the Union and the Confederacy.
