To all of the citizens who call Rappahannock County home, I hanily feel right sharing my sentiments on my short time here, but I would just like to express how it’s made a significant stamp on my life.
Right out of college, I got a job writing at a newspaper which was then called the Culpeper Citizen. As the economy declined, I fell victim and was laid off after two years.
That’s when I first ventured to the Rappahannock News as a freelancer last summer, to the tiny office on Main Street in “Little” Washington. Greeted by a smiling redhead at the front desk and surrounded by retro wood paneling, I felt like I’d returned home to Bowling Green, Va where I grew up.
