The 2009 Rappahannock County Farm Tour planning committee has shifted into high gear with the tour weekend only two months away.

Honorary Farm Tour chair Cliff Miller reports that some 21 venues, including farms, orchards, wineries and plant nurseries will offer programs and presentations during the two-day tour Sept. 26 and 27, from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., rain or shine.

The participating venues, to date, include Belle Meade Farm & School, Caledonia Farm, Eastwood Nursery, Farm-to-Table Program. The Farm at Sunnyside, Gadino Cellars, Gray Ghost Vineyards, Hall's Orchard, Hill House Farm & Nursery, Lazy S Llama Ranch, Manor Farm, Mountain Laurel Montessori Farm School, Mount Vernon Farm, Narmada Winery. Persimmon Spring Farms & Nursery. Rappahannock Cellars, Roy's Orchard & Fruit Market, Stonvman Gourmet Farmer. Sunset Hills Farm. Waterpenny Farm and Wits End Farm.
