Summerfest
to be held
on Saturday
There will be an American Summerfest on Saturday, Aug. 1 from noon to 8 p.m., at the Starks’ Farms at the intersection of routes 621 (Rudasill Mill Road) and 622 (Rock Mills Road).
The cost is $15 per car load or $2 per person. No alcohol, picnic baskets or coolers are allowed.
This local celebration of our rich American history begins with prayer, presentation of colors and singing of our National Anthem. A variety of music will be enjoyed, to include: Asian dancers, blues, blue grass, country, gospel, jazz and Latin American/Hispanic. Locally grown farm products will be available. The event is sponsored by the National Hag Festival, a non-profit organization in Washington, D.C. Net proceeds wall be given to our local charities.
