Willie and Lois McFarland celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary July 18 with daughter Betty Grigsby hosting a cookout in her garden with 80 friends and family.
The McFarlands were married on July 15, 1940. They had three daughters - Betty Grigsby, Peggy Tharp and Joan Broyles - and three sons, Billy, Jimmie and Gene, all now deceased.
Willie worked on Thornton Hill Farm for 20 vears.
