The timing couldn’t be better for the event. The interest in local foods - whether producing them in one’s own backyard in the city or suburbs or buying locally produced foods from regional farmers - is at an all time high in the region, throughout the United States and beyond. Rappahannock’s rich knowledge of sustainable agriculture and the stewards of its agrarian lifestyle are at the forefront of the locavore movement.
