To the many folks who look forward to the Child Care and Learning Center’s- (CCLC) annual Fall Auction and Party, you now have one more reason to wish the remaining days away till the Nov. 14 event at the old Washington School on Mt. Salem Avenue at 5:30 p.m.
For the first time in the auction’s 14-year history, the students of Rappahannock County High School’s Culinary Arts Class will be preparing foods from the “Bounty from the County” — a menu that features primarily local foods. Under the guidance and instruction of Chef Mary Arthur, students of her culinary program are applying their talents and enthusiasm to turn locally grown and raised ingredients into a feast that any locovore, whether herbivore or carnivore, can truly appreciate.
Chef Mary’s menu has been planned around locally obtained ingredients such as
