Above, 70 riders participated in the 10th Opening Meet of the Thornton Hill Hounds at Mr. and Mrs. Roger Scruton s Montpelier in Sperryville on Sunday, Oct 25 followed by a sumptuous hunt breakfast hosted by the three Masters of Fox Hounds. At left. Billy Dodson, of Sperryville, walks out with the Thornton Hill Hounds (THH) packed around him. Dodson is the Huntsman of THH and is responsible for the breeding, feeding and training of the hounds and leading them to a covert to pick up a scent. Photos by Jake Carle
