The awards program is a means of celebrating the life of Dr. King by recognizing the efforts of local individuals and organizations who aspire to the ideals that Dr. King spoke about, lived, fought and died for: faith, justice/equality, community service, social activism. Deadline for returning nominations is Dec. 11 (postmarked). Nominations can be emailed to jeboddiescholarship@usa.com or mailed to MLK “Dream Keeper" Awards, c/o P.O. 356, Sperryville, VA, 22740. Nominations should include a cover sheet with: your name, address w/zip code, telephone, email, your nominee's name, and a bnef description of the nominee's work (no more than 250-300 words, typewritten, double-spaced), two references with telephone numbers and/or email addresses (persons who have direct knowledge of the nominee's work).
