Meetings and Closings

• On Thursday. Nov. 5 the Rappahannock County Water and Sewer Authority will meet at 7:30 p.m., at the Rappahannock County courthouse on Gay Street • Due to the Veterans Day holiday on Nov. 11, the regularly scheduled Washington Town Council meeting has been moved to Monday, Nov. 9, at 7.30 p.m. at Town Hall.

• Agenda highlights include updates on the wastewater project, easement agreements, Allegheny Franchise Agreement, the RRC Survey Proposal, and the contractor for the Town Hall's sewer hook-up. Also to be considered is a water tap request from Parham/ Hamilton, Chnstmas Party funding, and a proposal to change the Town Council meeting date from the second Wednesday of the month to the second Monday. • On Tuesday, Nov. 10 the Rappahannock County School Board will meet at 7 p.m., closed session, and at 7:30 p.m., public session, at the high school band room. • The following will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 11 in observance of Veterans Day and will reopen on Thursday, Nov. 12: Rappahannock County government offices; Rappahannock National Bank; BB&T in Flint Hill; and the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles.
