In the last week of regular Bull Run District play, the Lady Panthers broke even with one victory and one loss. In their Tuesday travel match against George Mason, Rapp swept the Mustangs 3-0. At home last Thursday night, the Panthers succumbed to the Mountaineers in a reverse outcome of 0-3.
Although Rappahannock placed fourth in the regular district season regardless of last week’s scoreboards, the Panther women sought the “W” for every game.
Coach Jackie Settle reported that the Ladies played the entire week missing a key starter in each game. Illness recently has taken its toll on the team, but they end their regular season with a 12-8 record.
