, Mrs. M. E. Slider was hostess to the Julia Haygood Circle in Flint Hill, on Friday evening, January 6, with 14 present.
Mrs. Billy Gilbert had charge of the candle light Installation Service for the newly elected officers for 1950. The new officers are as follows: President, Mrs. David Corbin; Vice-president, Mrs. Emory Russell; Second vice-president and Program Chairman, Mrs. M. E. Sliger; Secretary, Mrs. L. P. Lewis; Treasurer, Mrs. Billy Gilbert; Mission Study Chairman, Mrs. Charles Wood; Community Mission Chairman,'Mrs. Walter Krause; Social Chairman, Mrs. Dick Latham.
Mrs. M. E. Sliger had charge of the program. The subject was “Playing Fair With Others.” A large copy of the “Pyramid of Progress” was'.cut out of poster paper* It was cut in sections according to the program and each pi^ce was replaced on the flannel board with thumtjicks as-the respective part- was given. TKe meeting closed witfo i/te' g^oup^ Binging “WeVe moving towhrd an Advance Pi§;ram all Around the World.” A delightful social hour followed the program.

Announcement has been made of the marriage of Charles Harrison Jenkins, son of Henry Harrison Jenkins and Lillie Virginia Burke Jenkins of Huntly, to Mrs. Victoria Foster Smoot, daughter of Silas Foster and Dora Smoot ^Foster of Flint Hill, v The ceremony was performed on Monday, January 9, at one o’clock at the Methodist parsonage in Flint Hill with the Rev. Norman J. Flythe officiating.
