Mrs. E. R. Browning gave a -.report on the_lose show she attended, which was held this fall m Washington, I). where roses from Main to California were on exhibit.
A year book committee consisting of the following members was appointed: Mrs. B. .J. Wood. Mrs. G. W. Smitn and Mrs. M. E. Sligeri

Grange Organization
Earl J. Shiflet, state deuptv of the Virginia State Grange, met with a small group in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. Wood recently to discuss the possibility of organizing a grange chapter in the community. Mr. Shiflet pointed out that the Grange is the oldest farm organization in the United States, more than 75 years old. It is a fraternal organization and it is a neighborhood as well as a state and national organization; it performs community services, such as sponsoring community projects, furnishing social activities for both Old and young, and helping with legislative projects, both state and national.
Mr. Shiflet will meet with a larger group of interested persons on February 6 to further discuss organizational plans.
Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Moore and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Latham were vresent to hear Mr. Shiflet present his initial plan for the organization of a Grange chapter in the community.
