Panthers Lose Double
Header To Marshall
On January 0 the school 1ms left Washington for Marshall, at 6:00. Everyone was in high spirit. Songs and cheers were given (luting the whole trip.
At 7:15 they arrived at the Marshall High School, the girls went directly on the floor for warm-up. The game was hard fought, each team striving for the lead. At the h*alf M.H.S. was 3 points ahead. The last half of ‘.he game the Panthers worked hard for a comeback, bet Marshall finished up wth a victory of 24-18.
After this let down, the Panther boys went onto'the floor wit!\ a stronger determination to win. Although they fought hard, tying the score at intervals during the game, they finally played out and M.H.S. took another victory of 43-32.
Though the spirit of the Panthers was slightly broken, they have high hopes of making a full comeback when they meet Marshall again on their home court.
