Mrs. Mabel , Racer, the club leader, anil tine agent met with the Washington Junior 4-H Club, January 4. Betty Lou Rutherford, presided over the meeting. Carlyle Lea read the minutes and called tile roll. Similar business was taken up as was taken up at the preceding meeting, such as selling of subscriptions, giving out of calendars, etc. The new members for this year were shown by Mrs. Racer how to cover sewing boxes. The ones that have been in more than a year were shown how to partition off their bureau draw-el’s, thus to succeed in having a neater drawer. *
Reager 4-H was called to order by its president, Alice Lee Harread
the minutes. Mrs. Barbara Gentry showed part bf thegrjs bow to cover their sewing boxes, and helped them complete their needle cases. The agent showed the girls how to press a rayoji * dress. A social hour of games concluded the meeting.
Mrs. Graham <H a c k 1 e y, the Amissvijle 4-H leader was present on the 6th to show some of the Amissville 4-H members how to make shoe bags, laundry bags, garment protectors and clothes pin aprons. The rest of the group were taught by the agent how to stencil cloth. Two tablecloths were stenciled at the meeting. It was decided at the meeting that the club would go on a movie party some time this month. The time will be decided later. Catherine Carter the president, presided over the meeting. The secretary, Shirley Poe, read the minutes, and was given charge of seeing about the sale of subscriptions to the Rappahannock News, .The meeting adjourned with playing games.
