Is 33rd President
The question of whether President Truman is the 32ml or 33rd president of the United States has been settled as far as the Congressional Directory is concerned.
He’s Xo. 33, according to the new edition of Congress’ otficial Utiiide book, issued yesterday.
For about the [last 10 years, t.ie Diieetory has been taytrine .Mi. Truman with \o. 32. Before that, it neatly skirted the problem by not numbering the presidents at all, an inspection of early i-sues showed.

Until the new edition, the Directory counted e.im as only one President—Xo. 22. s\t the top of the list there was a note saying the .figures indicated the number it different prisons who ha\'e served as President.
In the new edition, however, the note is deleted, and Mr. Cleveland, with his split terms, is listed as heiiiKt President Xo. 22 and President No. 24. Proceeding alonsr the numerical line, this makes Mr. Truman Presdent Xo. 33.
