WHEREAS, "it'"appears tnat toll chaises are made by both of said companies for calls within trie -said County of Rappahannock, and
WHEREAS. it further appealthat the rate's”* of both of said companies are excessive, or at least a d e q u a t e without toll chartres being made for calls within- the limits of said County, and
WHEREAS, Rappahannock is a small county with an area of 274 square miles and a population of less than eight thousand, and it would seem reasonable that no toll charges be made for calls within the limits of said County, and
\Y HEREAS, it is considered that the progress of any County is’impeded by dis-unity, and that telephone toll charges between the various Districts of said County constitute a dis-unifying factor,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County that this Board is in favor of having all toll charges Removed for calls made within said County, and the Board respectfully requests said Companies to abolish toll charges for such calls.
It is ordered that the Clerk of this Board send certified copies of this Resolution to both of the Telephone Companies above mentioned, and to State Senator Raymond (iucst and to Delegate D. French Slaughter.
