The Panthers girls of Washington High School are all smiles with a 32-28 triumph over the Marshall High School girls Tuesday night. Good team-work, plus Eloise Estes’s 14 points in scores, drove the girls to victory.
The boys’ game started off with a bang and held to a tied score through three quarters. At ,the beginning of the fourth quarter, Washington was leading by one point, and* Coach Link was so nervous he was almost in a dancing, fit. But near the end ' of the quarter, Charles Scroggins * ah(l Winfrey Burke fouled out and Marshall went off with a’ 38-30 victory.
On Tuesday night, January 31, there wilt be two boys’, games with Front Royal. On Friday, following, Sperryville High School » will meet the Washington Panthers on the Washington court.
