Mrs. I^ena Clark Eagan of North Dakota is spending the winter months with hj>r sister Mrs. 0. B. Swdndler, who also had with her for the week end Miss Barbara SwindLr of B>eni wood, Maryland.
Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Lyne and their small son. David, Tind Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Johnson Jr., are spending several days this week in Roanoke, where Mr. Johnson ami Mr. Lyne are attending a horticultural meeting. Mrs. Johnson’s mother, Mrs. - C. H. H. Branch is staying in the Johnson home while they are absent, and Miss Peachy Lyne is spending the time with Miss Betty Johnson.
Mr. J. C. Clark, of Green Lake, Wis., who with Mrs. Clark has been- spending some time in the home of Mrs. S. E. Hening, left last Friday on a business trip. Mrs. Clark will remain with £Jrs. Hening for a week longer. On Friday James Carson, of Baltimore was a dinner guest in the Hening home.
Mr. and Mrs. William Gilbert and Mr. and Mrs. David Corbin of Flint Hill attended the banquet and dance which was given by the Home Beneficial Life Insurance Company, which was held in the Terrace Room at the National Airport in Washington, D. C,, last Thursday evening.
