At Garden Club Meeting

W. • White of the Luray Garde:: Cluli were truest speakers at the meetintr of the Rappahannock Garden club, held at the heme ef Mrs. Charles Estes in Spen yvibe on Wednesday afternoon.' They spoke to the cluli members about making arrangements for holding a flower show some ti:u.* in the spring.

The program was on the subject of flowers, trees, and wildlife.

The displayed exhibits were of winter gardens. Mrs. diaries Estes’ exhibit received first place. Mrs. S. E. Hening’s wa- see<>n<.l. and Mrs. R. V. Snead’s winter garden received the third highest score.

The club members discussed ways of raising money to, send, a child from the county to the nat . re camp near Waynesboro this summer.

Mrs. J. E. Clark of Greenlake, Wisconsin, who is a guest of Mrs. S. E. .Hening, and Mrs. Maude Gore were guests of the club.

Scouts Meet Tonight

All boys in Rappahannock county, 11 years of age or older, are urged to attend the first county scout meeting scheduled for today, January 26, at 7:30 in Washington High School.

Allen D. Johnson is to be the scoutmaster of the county troop and he wants every boy to bring to the meeting a piece of rope four feet long in Otder that they might be able to enter into the games.

The evening will be spent in going over the Tenderfoot requirements and playing a series of fun games. Tile boys will be grouped by Patrols and they will select their patrol leader. It is expected that the troop .will meet every other week. The time and place will be decided upon at this first meeting together. Any boy interested might contact any of the following men:
