iiu Miuwjnj^r ui UiMJtTstanding of tin- winkings of the telephone system, o n e cannot make a suggestion to any company as to the mechanical workings to make the request possible. We see telephone pole* and wires about, but we make no pretense at any knowledge of the mechanical organization. We don't -know how to make the' change, but. we know that it will be a help to Rappahannock county to have the adjustment made.

There is no such word as “irfipossible.” .Our forefathers did the impossible—in fact, the telephone itself was called “impossible,” and there is still the -feeling that some arrangement can },e made whereby Rappahannock can be relieved of the (iis-joined comm unication.

Perhaps no such request has been made of the telephone company prior to this time. Perhaps there is no other community with our particular problem. All that .s relatively unimportant to the county. The fact remains that this toll-free telephone will lie a force for the good of the county as a whole, and no stone will be .eft unturned to see that we get it.
