Plans For Eastern Stud
Ram Sale In Staunton
Committeemen have been named and quotas set for sheep breeds to be consigned to the Eastern Stud Ram Sale in Staunton June 14 and 15.
The committeemen are: Raymond Henderson, Hickory, Pa., Dorsets; W. S. Belfield, Gordonsville, Southdowns; Sam F. McCluje, Spo^tswood, Shropshiras; J- S. Mosg, Burkes Garden, Hampshii'es; and G. S. Beresford, New Jersey, out-of-state Hampshire entries.
Alex Meek, Burkes Garden, serves as chairman of the salecommittee. G. W. Litton, associate animal husbandman at VPI, as secretary.
Quotas on breeds are: Hampshires, 15 each of yearling ewes, yearling rams, ram lambs, and ewe lambs; So thdowns, 10 ewes, six rams; Shropshires, 10 ewes and five rams; and Dorsets. 12 in all.
Closing date for catalogue li-tings is April 1. •Harold Barber, University of Kentucky, has been named judge, with' Carol Shafner, Ohio State University, as alternate juc|ge. - Older of showing and -sale of sheep at the event, largest of its kind in the East, will be the same as last year. -
