Funds Now Available
For County Health Nurse
Pledges are in for $500 necessary to meet required funds for a county health nurse.
The State Health Department has been notified that the funds are raised and the request is made fob a health unit in Rappahannock county
The health unit available will * consist of a full-time county health nurse; a full-time clerk; and a part-time sanitation officer and health officer. The sanitation officer works with an adjoining couhty.
It is hoped that word will be received soon as to' the appointment of the county health nurse. The work in the county has been needed for some time and the appointment should have been made July I. Funds were not available at that date, but now with the citizens’ pledges making the funds available, it is to be hoped no more time will be lost

Miss Mary Williams of New Market was the guest speaker of the Flint Hill "Garden Club, which met Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. G. W. Smith at Flint Hill. The subject of Miss William’s talk was “Organic Gardentug. —
Mrs. John S. Browning’s exhibit of gladioli arranged in a silver bowl, and Mrs. Bessie Bradford’s arrangement of zinnias in a pottery container, tied for first place with a rating of 08 points.
The club members voted to contribute $5.00 for the flower show to he held at the county fair in September.
Guests at the meeting were Mias Bessie Peyton and Miss Mary Williams of New Market; Mrs. William Kendrick and Mrs. Earl Coons of ClaVersack, N. Y., Mrs, Thomas Settle of Orlando, Florida and Miss Minnie Williams of Flint Hill. ;
